Springtime: Odds and Ends

Good day…
Recently, I engaged in some Spring cleaning at home. The flexibility of retirement is a priceless gift, allowing timely appreciation for the items being removed, retained, or re-purposed. Among the stuff covering decades: newspaper clippings, programs, school records, photos, clothing, music cassettes, and personal and business correspondence. It can be challenging to part ways with long-held items, especially those of sentimental value. But it is thoughtful and wise, if not imperative, to downsize, and make life easier for those who survive us. This task is ongoing, and basic guiding questions I am applying include: Have I used this item in the last year? Who will find this valuable in my absence? For intended or incomplete pastime-project: will I ever really get round to finishing it?  Indeed, this process can be taxing. However, in the long run, intermittent cleaning and decluttering will ultimately prove to be freeing.
