Greetings…
Here’s hoping you are taking advantage of all the good things that summer affords. Writing reversible poems is quite challenging and takes composing to a different level. In this historic week, with the theme of emancipation, freedom, and equality, I humbly share the following work in progress (to be read forward, then line by line in reverse). All the best as you continue to do your part in advancing full emancipation, and by extension, the welfare of all humanity. TREATMENT REVERSIBLE I hate the way you’ve treated me I can never say I respect you In all our dealings You failed to regard us as equals And at no time have Shown care and concern for my well-being You have In your unorthodox ways Determined To look down on, and subject me to second-class status Not once have you sought To acknowledge the gross injustice inherent in the socio-political system Albeit, you dare Inflict serious, ongoing damage Living out and upholding the status quo I can testify that Things will only get better When the vile power structure changes David McAdam - davidmcdam.ca
