Hello and happy day... Trusting you're well and wishing you the best as you round out the week. Quick story....
Having helped yesterday afternoon with set-up for a weekend music concert across the city, my wife and I decided to stop and dine on the way home. The dinner hour was nearing, so there were few patrons in the restaurant of choice at the time. Welcomed, seated, and awaiting our meal, we chatted and watched as the light snowfall began. Then came a fellow customer, with purse in hand. She stopped at each occupied table to inquire if someone had left a purse in the washroom. She also shared with us that, with bad memories surrounding the loss of her own purse, she simply wanted to get the purse to the owner asap. Giving the purse to the restaurant manager would be a last resort. She sat with us, then opened the purse to check for contact information. There were multiple cards, cash, et cetera, but no number to call in case of an emergency; so we thought to call the number on a physician’s card. Just as my wife dialled the number, a lady hurriedly approached us to say that her niece had lost her purse. Having left the restaurant earlier, they arrived home to discover that there was no house-key or purse. Thankfully, their drive was a short one. It was quite heartening to see honesty and kindness at play, intermingled with joy, relief and gratitude. Yes, there are still “Good Samaritans” in the world. Hats off to each and everyone of you! #kindness #honesty #goodwill
