Flashback Friday: Seeing Good

Happy day to you....
Last Sunday, I was privileged to participate in the Local Authors feature event, sponsored by Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL). My gratitude to VPL, and especially staff at the Pierre Berton Branch, for being such terrific hosts. Kudos too, to the patrons, for their kindness. 
Looking back at this event, several thoughts come to mind. Among them:

• Communal support strengthens the human family
• I am fortunate to live in a country where there’s freedom of expression and freedom to congregate. These, and other freedoms, should never be taken for granted
• It is important to listen to others. Everyone has a personal story from which we can learn
• Simple acts of kindness can make a world of difference, and
• We often see what we look for; so keep looking for the good all around.
