Good day...
Looking back at the past week, among other things, it's apparent that we continue to be dogged and scarred by institutional discrimination, for example in law enforcement and politics. From the perspective of mistreated minorities, I pivot to the last two verses of "Blatant Bigotry: Green Book to the Rescue"..... ....Some folks don’t seem to understand / What the hubbub is all about The injustice plainly rampant / Not only in the sunny south Shows where scorn, in serpentine ways / Has bound the human mind and heart There comes a cawing mockery / As right thinking just falls apart So, we’ll march and fight for freedom / We won’t yield to vile oppression Strange how our rights are overlooked / Though penned in the Constitution In beauty, we too for ourselves / Dance on to songs of victory The lasting theme: let justice rule / And end this blatant bigotry #prejudice #discrimination #bigotry
