Flashback Friday: 2024 Olympics

Happy day...

We are now in the final stages of the Paris Olympics. What a spectacle this has been so far! Looking back, we can’t help but commend the athletes and their support personnel for the work they have put in to attain world-class standard in athleticism. To medalists and rups (runners-up) in the finals, hearty congratulations! 
These games have come at great costs. With the many surprises that have surfaced (at times from the least anticipated places), we are reminded, among other things, of:

• how unpredictable life’s outcomes can be
• the importance of preparation of body and mind beyond minimum requirement
• the power of courage, adaptability, humility and resilience, plus
• the strength and hope that define community. 

Somehow, may our world be a better place on account of this international event.
