FIFA Fever

Hello and happy day! 
We are almost at the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup championship. There have been some amazing games, with talented players, coaches, and supporters alike. Commendations to everyone directly involved.
Of course, this is a reality that also highlights perennial concerns about inequality: countries with finances for training or attracting skillful players - therefore naturally having an edge, the drafting of players (sometimes non-residents) who are well resourced, making multiple millions of dollars annually in a world where many people are suffering, and the list goes on. So too, there are allegations of deals and racketeering, and mixed responses to the extended commercialization of the championship.
Despite questions or doubts about politics, economics, et cetera, admittedly, the tournament has brought people together and injected some needful focus on positivity, overall. It is always amazing to see how sports can unite people - if only temporarily. People of all backgrounds play together for a country, or religiously spectate in unison, but in daily life, such togetherness is often fleeting, superficial, or non-existent. I am left with this pressing question: When will we see this sport-related sense of camaraderie permeating daily life across the world in enduring ways?
